Coopman Partners With Global Reforestation Non-Profit One Tree Planted

Coopman Search and Selection has partnered with One Tree Planted, a global reforestation non-profit company, to plant trees for every placement made by the company in the financial services industry.

“Sustainability is a core part of our CSR initiative”, said Director and Co-founder, Andrew Murphy. “While we are proactive in many ways in our day-to-day business, running a paperless office and avoiding single use plastics, we want to do more to make a positive change.”

Planting trees is one of the best ways to combat the damaging effects of climate change. Trees help clean the air we breathe, filter the water we drink, and provide habitat to over 80% of the world’s terrestrial biodiversity. Such programmes also provide jobs to over 1.6 billion people, empower women in underdeveloped nations, and support communities devastated by environmental damage.

Through this partnership, Coopman will donate every quarter to an ongoing reforestation project in Europe, North America, Latin America, Africa or Asia. These donations will create a healthier climate, protect biodiversity and help reforestation efforts around the world.

“By working with One Tree Planted, we can empower our network to get involved in global reforestation, while also raising awareness about the importance of eco-system restoration”, added Andrew.

“One Tree Planted is aiming to plant 15 million trees in 2020, more than 3x the amount in 2019, and we are proud to be involved in such a great initiative going forward.”
