how we started

Our Story

Established in 2019 by Andrew Murphy and Mark Fallon who have over 20 years’ combined experience in recruiting in the financial services industry, Coopman has an extensive global network, servicing clients in the Irish, UK and US Market.
As a B-Corp certified company, at Coopman we act with purpose in everything we do, partnering clients and individuals to deliver optimal results in a sustainable manner.

OUR STORY

History

2019

Coopman Search & Selection was founded by Managing Director Mark Fallon.

2020

Despite the challenging Covid years, Coopman continued to grow, making key hires across compliance, accounting & finance and front office. Building the team through a period of real market uncertainty laid the foundations for the specialist business we are today.

2021

Will McCoppin joined to lead the Risk & Compliance desk in Ireland. Coopman won the Small Business Marketing Award at the All-Ireland Marketing Awards and achieved Certified B Corporation™ status.

2022

Won the SFA Emerging Business Award and hosted our first in-person event at the Convention Centre Dublin.

2023

Opened our London office, led by Will McCoppin, extending Coopman’s reach into the UK market and establishing our financial services presence in the capital across accounting & finance, compliance, risk, financial crime and legal.

2024

Successfully recertified as a Certified B Corporation™, reaffirming our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of social and environmental performance.

2025

Established our partnership with ISHKA, strengthening Coopman’s position within the global aircraft leasing community and supporting the continued growth of our aviation finance practice.

2026

Continued growth across Ireland and the UK, strengthening Coopman’s position as a trusted specialist recruitment partner within financial services and aircraft leasing.
