Coopman’s Commitment; B Corp Values and Social Responsibility

In today’s world, where businesses care about their communities, volunteering and B Corp values show how companies can make a real difference. At Coopman, our Dublin and London teams recently united to support our community, reflecting our unwavering commitment to social and environmental responsibility. We recognise the profound impact of aligning our practices with these values, and we have decided to recap our recent initiatives following national volunteer week.

B Corp Values

As a proud B Corp certified company, we give our employees dedicated time off to volunteer their skills and expertise to charitable causes. This approach creates a culture of social responsibility and engagement, significantly impacting the lives of others. B Lab provides us with a framework to prioritise social and environmental issues at the forefront of our business practices.

Airfield Estate’s GROW Programme, Dublin

Last month, inspired by #nationalvolunteerweek, our Dublin team participated in Airfield Estate’s GROW fundraising initiative. GROW provides work placements for young people with intellectual disabilities, and our donation supports this vital program. We assisted in painting their Dundrum farm premises and contributed financially. We believe in actively engaging with our community, offering both donations and hands-on support.

Vertical Rush, London

Earlier this year, our London team took part in ‘Vertical Rush’ for our charity partner, Shelter UK, enabling them to continue their fantastic work. Raising over £550, the team tackled the Vertical Rush at Tower 42. Shelter defends the right to a safe home and fights the devastating impact of the housing emergency on people and society. Every step counts!

What’s in the Pipeline for H2?

  • Continued Community Engagement: Coopman’s London and Dublin teams are eager to participate in more initiatives this year to support our charity partners. We plan to run in the Royal Parks Half Marathon for the second consecutive year in London, raising vital funds for Shelter UK. Keep an eye on our LinkedIn page for updates and subscribe to learn how to develop into a B Corp business.
  • B Corp Re-certification: We are currently in the process of re-certifying with B Corp. Our goal is to enhance our sustainability initiatives, deepen our social impact, and ensure our business practices align even more closely with B Corp’s rigorous standards.

Volunteering isn’t just for Volunteer Week. It’s important to give back throughout the year to support our community! Together, we can make a lasting impact and use our business as a force for good. How can we reach new heights if we don’t grow together? Join us on this journey.
