Coopman Recognised in the SFA National Small Business Awards 2022

Coopman Search and Selection has been selected by the Small Firms Association (SFA) as a finalist in the National Small Business Awards 2022.

Following a second successful year in business, the specialist financial services recruitment firm has been recognised in the Emerging New Business category which is sponsored by .ie, the national registry for .ie domain names and the trusted and progressive guardian of Ireland’s unique online .ie address.

The award aims to recognise emerging entrepreneurs that have the potential to grow their companies into successful organisations that will be innovative and create employment. Companies that enter the awards are serious about progressing their businesses, recognising the efforts of their staff and celebrating their achievements to date.

Five companies have been selected as finalists for the category, each of which is considered a winner and will be presented with a certificate at a gala awards ceremony in April 2022. This is the second award for the company this year, following winning the Small Business Marketing category in The Marketing Institute’s All Ireland Marketing Awards 2021.

Commenting on the announcement, Director and Co-Founder Andrew Murphy said:

To win this award for our company strategy and business model is a stamp of excellence and such recognition is powerful for a company starting out on its journey. In such a short period, we have developed a strong brand, expanded our team, entered new markets, created an ecosystem of great partnerships, won a marketing award, and built a business that operates sustainably and wants to make a real impact, both internally and externally. This award is recognition of all these achievements and how we are being innovative in our approach as a recruitment company, as well as our incredible team members that support us and make it all possible.

Craft Cocktails, Lakeland Kayaks, Lurgan Foods and Sea Green Health are among the other companies that have been selected as finalists for the award. Every company will receive a prize package worth €50,000 comprising of a comprehensive strategic masterclass weekend sponsored by Skillnet Ireland, a company profile in a specially commissioned Irish Independent awards supplement, participation in the SFA Business Connect event and five complementary tickets to the gala awards ceremony.

The SFA Awards are recognised by the government as an acknowledgement of the contribution small business makes to Ireland’s economy and its future success. As patron, An Taoiseach, Micheál Martin TD is fully supportive of the awards programme. A total of 47 companies have been shortlisted for consideration across ten categories for the 2022 awards.
