Senior Fund Accountant / Fund Controller

Coopman Search are partnering with a leading alternatives fund who are looking to hire an experienced Fund Controller/Senior Fund Accountant for a maternity cover for at least the next 12 months with the role starting in April.
  
The role will sit in a highly business facing area of the London business, rubbing shoulder daily with the valuations, deals and IR teams. Looking after an established LUX domiciled credit fund your role will be nicely varied with plenty of commercial duties as well as managing the day to day fund reporting activities.
  
Typical duties will include:

  • Manage capital calls, distribution notices and oversee third part administration reporting.
  • Review quarterly investor reports and capital account statements.
  • Review financial statements for both companies and partnerships, in compliance with Lux GAAP and LPA GAAP.
  • Provide investor relations support, ensuring effective communication and reporting.
  • Address ad-hoc investor inquiries with timely and accurate responses.
  • Review tax reporting and ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Manage AIFMD reporting and other regulatory reporting requirements.
  • Organize and manage board processes related to investment considerations, including reviewing board minutes.
  • Supervise and streamline the funding process to ensure efficiency.
  • Assist with the establishment of new fund structures, transactions, or restructurings by liaising with legal teams and notaries.
  • Address ongoing KYC requests and ensure compliance with internal procedures.
  • Oversee the management of hedging strategies and processes.

Experience required:

  • Fully qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
  • Experienced with LUX structured funds is a MUST – but this role is open to candidates with real estate or private equity funds – debt or credit experience is advantageous.
  • Minimum 3-4 years post qualified experience.
  • Strong excel skills.
  • Team player with adaptable approach to a dynamic work landscape.
