Risk Oversight & Control Officer

Coopman Search & Selection are proud to be working with a top tier, European Bank who are looking to bring in a Risk Oversight & Control Officer to support across all of their UK business lines. This role will be reporting into Head of the function and a fantastic opportunity and exposure to 1LOD and 2LOD Risk, Compliance and/or Financial Crime in a dynamic environment which promotes internal progression.
  
  
Key Responsibilities of the Risk Oversight & Control Officer:

  • Assisting the Head of Function, and wider members of team, with day to day administrative tasks
  • Supporting the first line of defence team with the monitoring of risk controls and delivering the appropriate tools for operations
  • Deliver reports around complaints management to the UK forum as well as the wider business
  • Manage full Product Approval lifecycles, ensuring any improvements or changes are reflected in internal documents
  • Contributing to the firm’s compliance and risk culture by raising awareness and ensuring adherence to policies which could affect BAU activity

  
  
Experience required of the Risk Oversight & Control Officer:

  • Knowledge of risk management, from either degree level education or previous employment, would be preferred
  • Strong desire and willingness to learn by taking on a range od different tasks to support the risk management function
  • Ability to work towards pre-agreed targets to contribute to personal development
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbally
  • Competent in managing their own time with an ability to work independently or as part of a team
