VP Compliance Officer

Coopman is delighted to be exclusively partnered with a global asset manager who is looking to hire a VP Compliance Officer, working closely with the head of compliance and senior leadership team.
  
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day general support working within the Legal and Compliance team
• Provide assistance with regard to undertaking the daily compliance monitoring reviews
• Liaise with and monitor regulatory compliance of external outsourcers
• Provide assistance to the appointed MLRO
• Monitor daily dealing of funds and portfolios for investment compliance
• Assist the Business with interpretation of segregated mandate client guidelines
• Participate in project work linked to new funds, new business and of new regulations
• Maintain breaches and error logs as part of compliance team
• Update Compliance Manuals and other relevant Manuals as required
• Co-operate and liaise with Internal Audit to assist them with their audit reviews

Core Competencies:

• 3+ years demonstrable compliance experience
• Sound monitoring background and practical knowledge of investment monitoring systems
• Experience in advisory compliance and liaising with the business
• Proactive, flexible and ‘hands on’ approach
• UCITS Regulations, Central Bank of Ireland guidance and relevant EU Directives: e.g. AML, MiFID, Market Abuse Directive
• Knowledge of dealing desks and related policies and procedures
• Strong interpersonal skills/communication skills
• Ability to work collegiately within a small team
