Compliance Officer

A key part of this role is adapting to change and continuously looking to improve the way our client operates. The role will suit a highly motivated individual interested in working in a challenging and changing environment.

Main responsibilities

• Support the Head of Compliance with the completion of compliance monitoring activities and audits
• Assist with the implementation and development of policies and procedures
• Perform initial and annual due diligence on new business partners
• Perform quality assurance reviews on operational transactions
• Review and monitor new legislation applicable to the business
• Support the compliance team in the handling of day-to-day compliance queries
• Support project delivery and drive process improvements and efficiencies

Your Profile

• Relevant experience in the financial services industry (cross border experience would be advantageous)
• A formal qualification from a recognised compliance body is desirable
• Relevant 3rd level degree
• Experience and knowledge of working in a compliance function in a highly regulated environment
• Ability to work effectively within an internationally diverse market place
• Must be client focused with excellent attention to detail
• An understanding of regulations issued by the Central Bank of Ireland and other regulatory authorities
• Italian language skills
