Commercial Fund Accountant – Private equity

Coopman Search is delighted to be working in partnership with a boutique PE investor operating in central London – the brand are growing their headcount across a number of key divisions as part of their organic and sustained growth plans for 2024 and 2025.
  
This Fund Accountant opportunity will offer a highly commercial position within the business – facing off with the portfolio team, the C-suite and the wider investment operations teams.
  
The key duties of this role will include:

  • Oversight over third party fund administration service provider and auditors
  • Preparation and analysis of valuations and investment data
  • Proactively working with wider teams on portfolio monitoring, cash-flow projections and forecasting, and general day-to-day investment operations
  • Produce various reports including: performance of the fund’s portfolio; accounting; and risk management
  • Identify and present trends and patterns in financial and investment performance data that will help the business make decisions
  • Identify improvement opportunities; streamlining processes to create efficiency; and implementing technology to release capacity within the team
  • Ad hoc analysis and data reporting

  
Requirements for this opportunity:

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA status Accountant
  • Must have at least 3 years experience within a practice, inhouse fund or a fund administrator
  • An understanding or active interest in private equity or asset structures
  • Be comfortable and confident in dealing with senior stakeholders and the wider business – this is a boutique so will offer high exposure to key decision makers in the firm
  • Proficiency in excel and the Microsoft office suite
